Chemical composition of the essential oil of Artemisia hedinii Ostenf. et Pauls. from the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

摘要The essential oil from the whole aerial part of Artemisia hedinii, which grows on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to determine its chemical composition. GC-MS analysis revealed the presence of 65 compounds, representing 83.82% of the total relative content of the essential oil. The major components of the essential oil were determined to be 1,8-cineol (16.53%), camphor (15.20%), and dehydrosesquicineol (13.59%), whereas all of the other components were present in much lower amounts (0.03-2.57%).
